Lions too late
Having established himself as one of the most dependable members of FC Bayern's star-studded line-up, it's impossible to imagine Thomas Müller playing for any other side. However, appearing as a guest at the Audi Star Talk, Müller admitted that Bayern's arch rivals had registered an interest in his services when he was just ten years of age. "The Blues [1860 Munich] called me up," claimed Müller. Unfortunately for the Lions they were too late. "It was six-months after I had joined Bayern. All I said was 'sorry I've already signed with Bayern'".
Hunting medal
2013 was from from kind to FC Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, but the Dutchman has made up for lost time since celebrating his comeback in the 3-0 win over Hamburger SV on Matchday 18, going on to score eight goals in ten competitive appearances. However, one strike stood out amongst the rest, a rip-roaring volley from outside the area that cannoned in off the underside of the bar. Though it did little to affect the result against Real Madrid CF, it did see the 30-year-old earn the 'Goal of the Month' award as voted for by the Royal Blues' fans.

Gunesch the dog rescuer
Good will goes a long way and for Ingolstadt's Ralph Gunesch, his charitable actions have allowed him to help out his local animal shelter. "I visited an open day and immediately fell for the dogs," explained the former FC St. Pauli icon, who goes running with his four-legged friends as well as trying to find those worst affected by physical disabilities "new families". His work has also inspired others to lend support. "During a recent away game, a St. Pauli fan collected donations to help out. The shelter received €190. That's a true demonstration of class."
