Off The Ball

Critical wife

In an interview with car manufacturer Audi , FC Bayern München head coach Pep Guardiola revealed that his wife often disagrees with him when discussing his managerial decisions. "Trying to explain my principle of squad rotation to her is harder than telling Arjen Robben: 'You'll be sitting on the bench today'." The Spaniard's wife claims he "should start with the same team that won last time", but whether she'd be singing the same tune after a chat with Robben remains to be seen.

Pray for the Revierderby

Ahead of the second Revierderby of the season between Dortmund and Schalke, a derby-themed church service well be held at an evangelic church in Gelsenkirchen-Horst at 19:04. Both clubs want to promote non-violence, respect and tolerance both on and off the pitch. Learning to deal with personal success and failure (not only football related), will also be a topic during the service and the fans are encouraged to come in their respective fan attire. Not often you get to talk about football in church!

Ronny and Raffael

History will be made on Saturday when Hertha Berlin visit Borussia Mönchengladbach, as it will be the first-time the Bundesliga has witnessed two Brazilian brothers going head-to-head. In separate interviews with Sky Inside Report, Hertha's Ronny and Gladbach top-goalscorer Raffael cheekily revealed that, despite their love and respect for one another, each will be trying their hardest to claim the brotherly bragging rights. The Bundesliga wouldn't have it any other way.
